During the weeks of cleanup after the battle for the Keep, the group met with Delra from the Sablewing Council. During one of the days, in mid afternoon, a dwarf woman came walking up to the Keep and The Strangers recognized her as Delra Torrak, their primary contact with the Sablewing Council. They met with her in Kaylord's room on the ground level of the keep so that they could have some privacy from the residents of the Keep and personnel doing repair work. Once they were in the room, Delra, with their permission, cast some spells in order to ensure privacy from magical snooping.

Delra then told them more about the Council's purpose and how the group were part of a long range plan to protect the land of Morraine. The Council had originally recruited more experienced adventuring group to help in combating a threat against Morraine. However, these groups were being met and destroyed with overwhelming force. The Council began to lose resources and found that even very high level groups were being wiped out. As losses continued to grow and more threats occurred the Council decided to try a new strategy. They decided to support starting groups of adventurers but once the group was started they would not show they were giving them active support. The groups would be used to clean out nuisances around the country and help to start building back the strength of the Sablewing Council and those who supported it.
n
Their group, The Strangers was one of those groups started this way and so far the strategy was working in their case. While their was someone following the group around, they were not using their maximum resources to fight The Strangers and so the group always had a chance of getting more experience without getting overwhelmed. There were other groups who had also been successful, and of course some groups whose bones were buried deep in a dungeon or monster's belly. Delra congratulated the group on their success and said the Council was proud of what they had accomplished so far.
n
However, she warned them that their group was going to be taken more seriously by the Council's foes. The Council would still continue to keep a distance from the group, in an attempt to make them less of a target. She added that with The Strangers efforts in foiling the plot to destroy the crops of Morraine they would now be seen as a threat. She said the primary threat was from followers of Rovagug and those followers were the ones who came up with the plot. Some of those believers were also followers of a cult within Rovagug known as the Followers of the Night Wolf. Their symbol was snarling wolf's head and their aim was to spread chaos and destruction across the land. The Council had found out there was a local group, called the Pack of the Night Wolf, with a cleric as its leader. After reviewing some of the encounters of The Strangers, it was felt that the Pack was behind the theft of magical items and was also behind the local illness of the farmers and the raid on the Keep.
n
The Strangers would have some quiet because the groups had taken heavy losses and lost a great deal when the plot to destroy crops was found out. In the future The Strangers would have to watch out for revenge from the group and having more resources brought against them. The Council had a hard time getting information because something seemed to fog their divination spells and followers of this movement had killed themselves when captured. There were several accounts of prisoners using whatever they could find to cut out their throats, strangle themselves or do other injury, while fighting against some strong compulsion. The Council was also helping to keep an eye out on the prisoners in town because at the moment they were the only links they had to the local and country's danger.
n
The Sablewing Council was continuing to fight threats from the followers of Rovagug and it was felt that they were trying to take over Morraine and add it to the dwarven kingdom located south. The renegade dwarven kingdom, Halls of the Mountain King, has been taking over countries as its ruler Oro Loroth greedily conquers more territory. There is also the threat from the Warlands, not just from the refugees fleeing the constant battles but also from the rulers looking to expand their nations. Some of those nations have made alliances with evil and the Sablewing Council has been kept busy keeping the land of Morrain relatively safe. As the Strangers increase the abilities they can add a strong force to the Council, if they choose to. After answering questions from the Strangers, Delra dismissed her spells then left the Keep, walking back towards Cillamar.
