The session started with the group moving upstairs to take on the clay golem. Since they had spells running, they decided to continue taking the fight to the monsters of the lair. As they reached the location just outside the door, everyone positioned themselves as fit their skills. When the door was opened, Sandru rushed in and moved past the golem to wait for a flank. Danicia obliged him and he made a strike in a critical location on the golem. Sheliak and Cendrine also moved in while Seoni and Darsus provided support.
With preparation to add damage in their strikes against the golem, it was quickly destroyed. As they moved to finish it off, hideous hobs moved towards them, eager to touch and spread their disease. Seoni and Darsus moved up to add support. However, Sheliak and Darsus were reached and felt the beginning of an illness after getting too close to the diseased warriors. They were able to fight it off but knew they would need to check again to make sure they weren’t not taken ill after their encounter.
Another group of warriors joined the battle in a room just beyond the stairs. It was a pit where the bottom could not be seen. The only apparent way across was on 6 inch metal rods that crisscrossed the open space. While the group could not see the bottom of the pit, they could see a strange green gas rising up from the bottom about 20′ below the rods.
The rods did not trouble the new warriors, females who were tattooed, nimble and quick. They jumped from rod to rod or moved along them as if there was no pit below them. They also appeared blurred, making it harder for the group to see and hit them. Sandru and Danicia moved up to the bars, able to match the agility of their opponents. These warriors attempted to either kick their opponents from the thin bars or pummeled them with nunchak in a flurry of action. However, the party was able to defend and fight these warriors.
Seoni kept an eye out and spent time looking at the pit to see how deep it really was. As she flew down, she decided to not enter the green mist that rose from the bottom of the pit. It had a magical feel that felt inimical to the party. Cendrine and Sheliak finished up with the leper hobs and moved towards the battle over the pit. Darsus also moved closer, in support. Danica and Sandru were taking out the warriors and Sheliak helped out. An unlucky warrior moved to close to Cendrine and felt the strength of her axe.
A male warrior flew out and attempted to command a member of the group to drop their items. They were able to fight against the command. Seoni noticed the newcomer and quickly moved into engage him. Darsus grabbed Cendrine and brought her over to engage the newcomer who seemed prepared for battle and to cast spells.
Sandru, Danica and Sheliak finished up with their work and also moved to the newcomer. The bodies of 5 of their enemies fell into the pit and they could hear something moving towards the bodies when they hit the floor. The green mist seemed to swell, hiding the bottom of the pit and the outcome of the bodies.
WIth the group focused on the newcomer, they damaged him. Darsus used his magic rope to capture him and ask him to surrender. Their captive quickly agreed and talked to Seoni when asked questions, eyeing her with lewd gaze. When the group saw his chamber of obscene poses, dominated by a bed, they could tell he was a creature obsessed with these weird acts.
He indicated that he could tell the group some information of the obstacles ahead of him. A search of the chamber revealed a few valuables for the group to recover. There also appeared to be magical items on the caster, Ichirou, which needed to be identified. A quick look at the one hob left on the metal rods identifed some possible magical items as well. The session ended here.
