While standing in the doorway, Cendrine sensed something pass over her, although she didn't see anything. She still had beads on the fireball necklace, so she threw one in, as a warm welcome to the serpent folk in the room. The serpent folk and the winged being appeared to take damage. She warned the others about the flier which disappeared. After the others in the group moved closer, Cendrine assessed the situation and decided to move in, to start attacking the known caster. She nimbly avoided the grease the caster had placed in the path and swung at the caster. However, the surrounding fighters stepped in and swung back at her and doing damage. Darsus had seen Cendrine move in, so he grabbed Kelda and used his domain power to dimension door into the small area. Danicia and Sheliak followed in, although they were slowed by the enemy in their way. However, with Kelda and Darsus as backup, Cendrine was able to move in and attack with backup for the fighter attacks.

The winged being in the chamber then cast something and Darsus found he could not speak. As the fight continued, the fighters and the caster were taking damage, but the flying being was also doing damage, primarily to Darsus. Scorching Rays were fired and doing a great deal of damage. In the meantime, the winged being was also taking damage, more than he could heal in between the rounds. When he appeared very damaged, he disappeared, as he had on the upper floor. The group then focused on the fighters and caster, while Darsus used the opportunity to channel healing energy. After a few rounds, the winged being returned, almost fully healed and continued attacking the group. He inflicted more damage with his scorching rays, but the group also damaged him with arrows and bolts. In spite of the damage the group was taking, they were able to take down the winged being and the serpent folk supporting him. They were also attacked by the other flying creature, but with the groups attention freed from the others, she was quickly taken down.

After the battle, the group took stock and collected items from the bodies. They finished exploring the kitchen area and found an exit out of the caverns, to the bay by the village. They also found another set of stairs to the upper floor. They then went to the crypt area and the caverns that Kelda reported she had come in. In the crypt area, they found the smashed sarcophagus, but not other traps or undead. However, in the cavern beyond, they found more serpent folk and a tentacled creature working with them. However, the Storm Peace Keepers had taken the measure of the serpent folk and found them wanting, they were quickly taken down. Without the protection of the serpent folk, the tentacled abomination was quickly taken down. The group healed up and looked over the items. The session ended here.
