The session began with the group fighting a winged, stone dwarf. Sheliak, and Danicia jumped down in order to join Cendrine while Darsus activated a fly spell to move down to the lower level. Sheliak summoned a nature’s ally to fight and distract the rat while Danicia tried to entangle the flying dwarf. The dwarf had cast mirror image and then used a breath weapon on Danicia after the failed entanglement. Cendrine used her crossbow while Sheliak used his bow to take shots at the flying dwarf. He fired magic missiles and continued to fly around the room and around the corner. When Cendrine followed him she was caught by a collapsing wall trap. Darsus flew around and used a spiritual weapon to give damage to the dwarf. The dwarf then flew around the hall towards the pit trap that had opened up into his area. Sheliak and Darsus both attacked and he was taken down.

Danicia did a search and found evidence of a workshop focused on making traps. She also found that part of the ceiling had been setup as a trap to fall but had never been activated since no one had stopped underneath the area. Several magical items were found on the dwarf. The group then decided to continue descending downwards, toward the sound of running water before exploring a tunnel by the queen ant that they had fought. After exploring a passage they found a large room, with a small stream running through it. They could hear activity in all of the rooms. They decided to go towards a room where large footfalls had been heard. On the way they put a web on another room which kept a large group of young trogs trapped while the group dealt with the larger menace.

As they passed another room they stopped when they heard cries of help and saw two people being menaced by 3 large toad like creatures. Danicia charged in and damaged one of the creatures. While she distracted the 3 toads the woman and child were able to run out of the room and get out of the way. Sheliak, Cendrine, and Darsus joined in to attack the toad creatures. Sheliak was bitten once, with sharp, serrated teeth that caused him to continue bleeding even after the creature was dead. Darsus healed Sheliaks damage while the woman was questioned. Her husband had been killed by the toads and they had heard of ‘the big one’, a large trog in the cavern that the stream flowed into. The group told the woman to stay put while they went in the other room to tackle the big one. She tearfully agreed and knelt down by her husband.

The group entered the room and saw a large trog who had overly large legs and a toughened hide. They quickly formed up and attacked while the large trog moved in. He hit Cendrine with his claws, bit her and swiped at her with his tongue while she swung at him with her axe. She was able to damage him but his tough hide absorbed some of the damage. And after being hit, it appeared that some of his wounds were slowly healing back. The session ended here.
