After a good night's sleep, the group decided to enter Kalsgard as two groups. The wagons would enter as a group, a few hours after the Storm Peace Keepers, and they would bring in the boat for sale along with the other items the group wished to sell. The Storm Peace Keepers would go into town, in disguise and head for an Inn in the city. Sandru recommended The Hunting Serpent Inn which is run by Tosti Finehall. It is also home to a small congregation of Cayden Cailean followers which would allow Darsus to connect with the congregation.Sophia would also travel with the Storm Peace Keepers, in disguise, in order to provide her the most protection.

The group arrived in town without incident and found the Inn in the Ice Quarter of Kalsgard. Their first day in town the group met up with Sandru and collected their gold for their items. They then went shopping to restock and improve their gear before they started their search. After another night of rest, the group decided to focus on finding the sword Suishen. They remembered from their vision that a merchant and collect Fynn Snaevald had bought the sword from Sophia's grandfather almost 60 years before. After some discreet inquiries, they found out that he was still living and he could be found in the Amber Quarter. They also found out that he was a trader in amber and whale oil and he was a collector of Tian antiquities from Sophia's homeland.

The group found their way to the Amber quarter and Fynn's home. When they knocked, the merchant himself greeted them. After an introduction they are invited in to talk with him. When the group tells him about the sword, he tells them that the sword was stolen from his house about three weeks prior. He is angry about the theft and the murder of his servants who tried to protect his property. He had reported the theft to the city's watchmen but nothing much had been done.

After finding out about the group's interest in the sword, Fynn makes them an offer. He never liked using the sword, it always gave him an uncomfortable feeling when he used it and he doesn't care if he gets it back. However, he does want compensation for the deaths of his servants and no one has come forward to pay weregild to settle the matter. Under the laws and traditions of the Ulfen people, he is entitles to weregild or to pursue blood vengeance against those who wronged him. He is too old to get vengeance himself, but if the Storm Peace Keepers will act for him, and exact blood vengeance to defend his honor and recover his property, Fynn will give them the sword. The group agrees and Fynn says that he will register the matter with the city.
n
As the group is leaving, Fynn remembers one final bit of information. He remembers that one of his servants was still alive when he came home after the robbery. Before the servant died, he told Fynn something about 'paying the lion's due'. He also mentioned that the leader of the group was very tall. This reminds Fynn of a chieftain who lives outside of Kalsgard, Avsig Longthews. He is known as Longthews because of his height and his men are identified by the golden armbands with a lions head on them.

The group heads back to the Inn and discuss their plans. As they are sitting in the tavern, three of Asvig's men enter and order drinks. Darsus and Kelda approach and find out that the men are in town to pick up some supplies for a celebration at Longthews farm that night. Kelda attempts to appear to be part of Longthews guards but they seem indifferent to her and Darsus. The men leave quietly and the group plans to go out and see if they can infilitrate the celebration by showing up to help out. Sophia is left at the Inn and told to stay in the rooms

While heading out of Kalsgard to the farm, the group notices a boy following the group. Danicia stays back and turns invisible in order to catch him. She does catch him, but when the young man is questioned, they only find out that his name is Kei, he is from the Jade quarter and he has been paid to leave reports of the groups movements under a specific barrel at the river docks. The group tells him to report back, they will pay him more, otherwise they will hunt him down. The lad runs off once he is let go.
n
As the group gets close the gate, they hear a blind beggar mumbling as they go past 'They know who you are and are coming for you.” The group stops to question him but the only thing the beggar knows is that he was paid two coppers to utter that phrase when the smell of boiled cabbage walks past him. The group notices that boiled cabbage has been rubbed on their clothes so they use prestidigitation to clean the odor off.
n
The rest of their journey outside of town is uneventful and after an hour of walking they found Avsig's farm. As they approached, they could see many warrior types working outside, along with thralls. They could also tell who the owner was, he was the tallest one there. As they walked up, they noticed posts circling the area and that the warriors stopped and watched. Asvig asked them why they were there and the Storm Peace Keepers said they were more warriors of Asvig, come to help with the celebration. Asvig got angry and said they were not and he gathered his men around. He told the group to leave or his men would help them leave. The warriors moved closer to the road and the group started to move in. As they passed between two of the posts, they turned into two lions that attacked. With the attack, the Storm Peace Keepers readied for battle. Asvig moved to the front and his wife Helva stayed in the back, casting spells on the group. The thralls quickly exited the area and the warriors surrounded the Storm Peace Keepers. However, they were no match for the group and after a tense battle, they started taking down the warriors where they stood. They eventually killed Asvig and Helva, then finally the last few warriors were taken care of. The session ended with the end of the battle.
